Max Chipchase has rapidly gained a reputation as a top international DJ. Clients such as The Rolling Stones, Robert de Niro and Louis Vuitton have relied on his unique skills for their events. Whether it’s catwalk shows or exclusive parties, Max always rocks the house.


Max originally rose to recognition through his residencies at some of London’s top venues. After a series of very successful nights at Noble Rot and 57 Jermyn Street (Prive) in 1999, Max was offered a residency at the newly opened Opium which went on to be voted ‘Best New Venue 2000’ at the London Club Awards.

In 2001, Max left Opium to begin a year long residency at the renowned London restaurant Hakkasan, which was voted ‘Best New Restaurant 2001’ at the London Club Awards. There, his regular appearances alongside top French DJ’s such as Stephane Pompougnac (Hotel Costes, Paris) and Charles Schillings (Elite) gained him wide praise for his smooth, upbeat style.


In addition to DJing at London venues such as Annabels, Aura, Aviva, Chinawhite, Pangaea and The Cross, Max regularly appears at some of the hottest international venues. He can often be spotted playing in nightspots such as Platinum and Contrejour in Geneva, Hush and Greengo in Gstaad, Suite Del Mar in Marbella, Sho Cho, Boudoir and Trilogy in Dubai, Dragon-I and Kee Club in Hong Kong, Velvet/Zouk in Malaysia, as well as venues in New York, LA, Miami, Mexico, Sao Paulo, Prague, Budapest, Norway, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Russia and the Far East.


Max’s reputation within the music industry has led to him playing at Mick Jagger’s 60th Birthday in Prague, as well as numerous parties for The Rolling Stones, on Madonna’s 2004 UK Re-invention tour, for Tina Turner and alongside Sir Elton John, Prince, Lenny Kravitz and Aretha Franklin at private engagements.

For the fashion world, Max performed at the 150th Anniversary of Louis Vuitton in Tokyo, the 25th Anniversary of Cartier in Beverly Hills and at Tommy Hilfiger’s 20th Anniversary in Paris. He also played at the launch shows of Bvlgari’s ‘Astrale’ in both New York and St Petersberg, at Giorgio Armani’s birthday, as well as many repeat parties and shows for many of the world’s leading luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Bvlgari, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Chloe, Stella MacCartney, Alexander McQueen, Sergio Rossi, Ferragamo, Burberry, DeBeers, Bally and Dunhill.

His Hollywood clients have included Robert de Niro, Matt Damon, Terry Gilliam, Elizabeth Hurley, Hugh Grant, the AFI (American Film Institute) and Variety Magazine, for whom he played at their 100th Anniversary party in Los Angeles. He has also performed at the London BAFTA awards and during both the Golden Globes and Oscar ceremonies.

He has played at parties for Ferrari, L’Oreal, Mario Testino, Vanity Fair, Robert Wilson, Tatler Magazine, Conde Nast and at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. He has even been engaged by Royal appointment, playing at the weddings of HSH Prince Alexander of Liechtenstein, HRH Prince Manuel of Bavaria and HRH Princess Tania of Oman.

For several years running he played for Cantor Fitzgerald (Official Sponsors) at the Monaco Grand Prix and in 2004 he played at the F1 opening party in London. Max also played at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival for a series of private events including Dennis Hopper’s birthday party on board the world’s most luxurious super yacht, the ‘Annaliesse’.


In addition to filling dance floors around the world, Max is the Music Consultant to The Gucci Group, advising on music for their brands (Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Stella MacCartney, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Bedat, Boucheron and Sergio Rossi). He is also the Musical Director of NetJets.

His expertise on music policy is in constant demand and his signature sound can be heard in numerous stores, hotels, restaurants and bars throughout London, Europe and the US. He has even been commissioned to act as Music Supervisor on several US-based feature films.

Max can also be found in the recording studio, producing various remix projects, whilst working alongside his partner in Chase Revolution, Hollywood actor Peter Stormare on their own production, Quasimodo 5, with plans to release their debut album worldwide this summer through Warner Chappell Music.
He is even a contributor and writes a monthly column chronicling his travels and experiences for Prestige Magazine, one of the leading luxury and lifestyles publications based in Hong Kong.

In December 2007 Max launched his own radio show, “The Son De Luxe Show” which is currently broadcasting each week in Japan (Inter FM), Turkey (Power XL), and Czech Republic (Radio Frekvence 1) and is due to launch this winter in Dubai (Dubai FM) and Slovakia (Fun Radio) with sixteen more countries currently under negotiation throughout Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
